Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a decorative sheet having a fine pattern with three dimentional effect, by inserting a base applied with a foamable synthetic resin paste sol between a heating indented cylinder and a pressure roller which are rotating thereby forming a synthetic resin layer with an embossed patteren.
CONSTITUTION: The base 11 applied with a suitable amount of foamable synthetic resin paste sol is pressed through the pressure roller 3 against the indented cylinder 1 that has been heated to a temperature below the decomposition temperature of said paste sol. As a result, the paste sol becomes a semigeled state wherein it has not been yet foamed, and a fine embossed pattern 12 that has been formed by an indentation part 2 remains on the base 11. Then at the position of a guide roll 4, the base 11 having the synthetic resin layer with the embossed pattern is separated from the cylinder 1, and it is heated in a heating furnace 6 to a temperature above the decomposition temperature of the foaming agent to allow the resin to foam and gel. Then it is cooled by a cooling roll 7 to obtain the intended product that in turn is wound into a winding machine 8.
