Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the ammonia concentration in a sample gas to be measured as both the ammonia molecular concentration and the total ammonia concentration by introducing a sample gas to an analyzer through a filter means which can control the temperature.
CONSTITUTION: Before measurement, from gas cylinders 34 and 35 ammonia standard gas and nitrogen gas are introduced through a teflon pipe 36 and a control valve 31 at a calibration gas inlet to a sampling line 22 and an analyzer 23 to perform span and zero calibrations. A sample gas is always sucked into an exhaust gas line 26 by a suction pump 27. When ammonia is measured, the air is exhausted from the absorption cell of the microwave analyzer 23 by a vacuum pump 32 and at the same time, the exhausting force of the vacuum pump 32 causes the inside of the sampling line 22 to be at reduced pressure. When a stop valve 25 is opened, a portion of the exhaust gas is sucked into the stop valve 25, and the sample gas having passed through the stop valve 25 is introduced through the sampling line 22 to the analyzer 23.
