Abstract
PURPOSE: To conduct temperature control accurately and improve quality of foundry product, by processing variation of a metallic mold temperature as a digitally indicated electric signal.
CONSTITUTION: When continuous casting is conducted using a diecast metallic mold 7, temperature of the metallic mold 7 is measured by a thermocouple 6 and the measured value is given to a metallic mold temperature measuring device 8. The metallic mold temperature measuring device 8 converts the output of the thermocouple 6 from an analog signal to a digital signal, and then, it gives this signal to a prescribed circuit so that all the indication meters provided on the front side indicates a temperature of the metallic mold 7 at that time, whether the temperature of the metallic mold 7 is ascending or descending, and also the maximum and minumum temperatures of the metallic mold 7 in all the casting processes.
