Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent entering of lubricating oil into a combustion chamber together with air-fuel mixture, by providing a partition wall between a cylinder bore and a crank chamber, and defining an air intake chamber between the partition wall and a piston on the lower side of the piston.
CONSTITUTION: A cylinder body E is constituted by rigidly connecting a cylinder block 1 formed with intake and exhaust ports 21, 22 and a scavenging port 29, a cylinder head 2, and a crank case 3. The cylinder body E is provided with a partition wall 6 for defining a cylinder bore 4 and a crank chamber 5, and an air intake chamber b is formed between the partition wall 6 and a piston 8. The first connecting rod 10 having one end connected to piston 8 is connected at the other end to a slidable member 11 which is fitted in the partition wall 6 in freely slidable manner, and one end of the second connecting rod 16 is connected to the slidable member 11. The other end of the second connecting rod 16 is in turn connected to a crank shaft 19 in freely rotatable manner. Further, an intake port 23 and a scavenging port 29 are formed in the intake chamber b such that they are always kept open.
