Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a piston from breakge by utilizing the difference between pressure in a crank chamber and pressure in an exhaust port to forcilby send a small amount of mixture to the peripheral wall of a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Near the lower portion of a piston ring 14b are provided through holes 14c, 14d having the inner peripheral side and commincating to a crank chamber (not shown) and the outer peripheral side end respectively opposed to peripheral walls 11a, 11b of a cylinder 11. On the other hand, a piston 14 is provided on the outer periphery with a circumferential groove 14e communicating to the through holes 14c, 14d. Thus, when the piston 14 reaches the lower dead point side, internal pressure in the crank chamber is raised and the groove 14e of the piston 14 reaches an exhaust port 13a, a small amount of compressed mixture in the crank chamber passes through the through holes 14c, 14d and groove 14e and flows in an exhaust path 13. In the meantime, the mixture is attached to both peripheral walls 11a, 11b of the cylinder 11 to improve lubrication between the piston 14 and both peripheral walls 11a, 11b.
