Abstract

PURPOSE: To cool accessory parts of an engine effectively, by forming hollow spaces in the body of a radiator, and carrying cool air drawn into the radiator from said hollow space toward accessory parts of the engine via guide passages.
CONSTITUTION: When a cooling fan 2 connected directly to an engine 1 is rotated, open air is drawn through a core 10 of a radiator 8 and carried mainly to engine 1 as hot air. On the other hand, open air drawn through hollow spaces 11, 11 located on both sides of core 10 is carried into guide passages 12 connected to respective hollow spaces 11, 11 with its temperature being kept low, and then carried to a generator 3, starter motor 4, exhaust pipe 7 and fuel pump 6 for cooling them. Thus, it is enabled to cool the engine 1 itself and its accessory parts effectively.
