Abstract
The cooling and heat exchange system for an internal combustion engine (12) has the compressor (18) of a turbocharger (20) feeding compressed air to an auxiliary cooler (22). This air passes through the engine and the heater air returns to the turbine (28) of the turbocharger. The coolant which circulates through the radiator (34) then through the engine, is also circulated through another radiator (50) in series with the first radiator (34) and the auxiliary precooler (22). Cooling air is drawn through both radiators by a fan (42) and passes on to the engine.
