Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the heat transmitting surface of a fresh water cooling device, thereby minimizing the size of the equipment by returning the fresh water having finished the cooling of an auxiliary machinery in which the temperature rise is small to a fresh water outlet of a fresh water cooler and recirculating it together with a new cooling water.
CONSTITUTION: The water outlet of the central fresh water cooler 2 is connected to such an auxiliary machinery as a main engine lubricant cooler 4 and an auxiliary diesel lubricant cooler 5 through a low-temperature fresh water temperature control valve 15 and a fresh water pump 3. The fresh water cooled by the cooler 2 also cools the above-mentioned coolers 4 and 5. The cooling water from the cooler 4 cools a main engine intake air cooler 7 and then flows through a high-temperature fresh water temperature control valve 14, a jacket 12, and a heater 13 and returns to the water outlet of the cooler 2. The fresh water from the implements 5 and 6 is partly sent to an auxiliary diesel jacket 9 and partly returned to the water outlet of the cooler 2 to be recirculated as a cooling water after mixed with a water newly exhausted from the cooler 2.
