Abstract
PURPOSE:To control the temperature of a heating furnace with high accuracy by determining the optimum temperature beforehand from the position of steel in the furnace and the time of staying in the furnace and calculating the difference between the optimum temperature and present temperature of the steel. CONSTITUTION:The amount of advancing of steel 4 from a walking beam is grasped by a computer 60 at the time of charging 51. The steel 4 is followed up and its position in the furnace is determined. The temperature of the steel 4 is inferred from the input information of furnace temperature detectors 54, 55, 56. Meanwhile, the time of staying in the furnace of the steel 4 is calculated and the staying time hereafter is inferred. Then, the total staying time in the furnace is inferre and an optimum temperature is calculated referring to a temperature rise pattern table from the total staying time in the furnace and present position. The differenc between inferred present temperature of the steel 4 and the optimum temperature is determined. Temperatre control is effected by giving setting value signals 61, 62, 63 to temperature controllers 57, 58, 59 of each zone from the computer 60.
