Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform feeding of the lightweight tiny pieces such as sawdust and chaff smoothly by a fixed quantity by a method wherein the feeding device for feeding the pieces by a fixed quantity is constituted by providing a rotary rake bar above the bottom surfce of a cylindrical upright tank rotatably around the center line of the bottom surface in the case when the pieces are burnt.
CONSTITUTION: In the case when the device is applied to a sawdust burning device, the sawdust 21 is charged in the tank 1 and a motor 6 is started for motion. Then the rotary rake bar 2 positioned just above the bottom surface 1a of the tank is rotated through the intermediary of bevel gears 7 and 8 and a vertical shaft 2a and makes the sawdust 21 drop into a concave groove 3. In the concave groove 3 a screw conveyor 4 is installed and rotated also with the rotation of the motor 6 through the intermediary of a chain 11, etc. Therefore, the sawdust dropping into the concave groove 3 is fed to a burning chamber 14 inside an incinerator 12 by the screw conveyor 4. The sawdust charged in the burning chamber 14 is scattered almost uniformly on the surface of a conical projection 15 and is burnt with air supplied from the slit 15a of the projection 15.
