Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a flux having good productivity and stable quality by specifying the form of supply raw materials and operating conditions at the stage of rolling and granulating the kneaded flux continuously in a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical body 1 supported by turning rollers 3, 3' on a stand 4 graded by means of supporting tires 2, 2' is rotated by a motor 7 via a speed reducer 8 and gears 6, 5. On the other hand, a kneaded flux 10 prepd. by wet kneading of flux raw materials compounded to prescribed composition and a binder such as water glass, sodium aluminate or the like is supplied at a constant speed from a hopper 9 into the body 1 from its one side by means of a belt conveyor 11. The flux 10 is granulated in the cylindrical body, after which the granules are carried out with a conveyor 12.
