Abstract
PURPOSE:To prepare a vitrified grinding stone of high grade in desired dimensions at low forming pressure, by compounding hexagonal system boron nitride (BN) of specific weight in the above described manufacture. CONSTITUTION:A grindstone mixing material, obtained by compounding hexagonal system boron nitride (BN) corresponding to 0.1-5% (weight ratio) by weight of a grain contained in a grindstone manufacture mixing raw material, is placed quantitatively in a forming metal mold and formed under pressure. In this way, a formed article of high bulk density is performed firing in an electric oven, and compounded hexagonal system boron nitride is perfectly dissolved in the material of glass quality formed by a grindstone binding agent, to obtain a vitrified grinding stone of high grade after firing.
