Abstract
PURPOSE:To form the gap with good accuracy, by using the welding tool of special construction, in manufacturing the magnetic heads through pressing and heating a plurality of core blocks with welding jig and filling in a caulking material in the gap. CONSTITUTION:A welding tool 10 is constituted with a stand plate 11 mounting core blocks 2A, 2B, channel shape pressing clip members 12A, 12B clipping the core blocks 2A, 2B from both the sides, and intermediate pressing member 13 having a projection 18 which exerts the pressing force by the insertion of the wedges 14A and 14B to a part more inside the leg 16 of one pressing clip member 12B. Further, the core blocks 2A, 2B are butted and pressing is made toward butt direction, and the core blocks 2A, 2B are heated with the force exerted transversal to them, and filling member is filled in the gap between the core blocks 2A, 2B. Thus, the bending of the blocks 2A, 2B is prevented and the size of gap can uniformly be kept.
