Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure the qualities of baked coating by a method wherein outer surface of both end portions of a metal pipe is coated with a metal which is electrochemically base to said metal pipe and, thereafter, baking coating of an inner surface of the metal pipe and melt injecting the aforementioned metal to an uncoated portion of an outer surface of the metal pipe are carried out at the same time to prevent aforementioned metal from being mixed into the baked coating of the inner surfaces of pipe end parts. CONSTITUTION:A metal pipe is formed from a cast iron pipe 1 and, as a metal electrochemically base to said metal, zinc 2 is used and coating treatment is carried out as described herein after. That is, zinc 2 is coated on the outer surface of both end parts of the pipe 1 by a conventional melt injection method. In this case, a length l of the pipe end portions to be coated is normally 50-100cm. Subsequently, the pipe 1 after coating treatment is heated to 150-350 deg.C and, while this heated pipe 1 is rotated, a resin 3 such as an epoxy resin is coated by baking on all inner surface of the pipe 1 and, at the same time, zinc 2 is coated on a remaining part 10 except the above described both end parts on the outer surface of the pipe 1 by a melt injection method.
