Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance workability in repair of nonplated part by a method wherein a preparatory plating is conducted by coating a tin-flux mixture on the material to be plated and the melted, on which a creamy mixture of zinc and flux is coated and melted by heating. CONSTITUTION:The preparatory plating is conducted by coating on the material to be plated a creamy mixture of flux and tin or tin alloy powder and then melting by heating, on which a creamy zinc plating material mixture of flux and powder of zinc or zinc alloy is coated and melted by heating. In repair operation of nonplated part, this process eliminated the need to transport the article to the plating work and allows an easy repair at the site. Furthermore, the workability is much better than that given by the use of only conventional zinc plating material, wherein the repair of the fiold has been hardly possible.
