Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve water production efficiency, by soaking a part of the wick material in raw water and by condensing vapor on the vessel wall face and the surface of the heat transfer tube provided in the part shielded thermally by the wick material.
CONSTITUTION: Raw water is supplied into vessel 5 through heat transfer tube 12 to fill raw water 6 in vessel 5 up to a fixed level, and this level is always held, and raw water 6 is sucked to wick amterial 9 due to the capillary phenomenon. Under this state, the vessel is exposed to solar heat to evaporate raw water 6 filled in vessel 5 and raw water sucked to wick material 9.
