Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture the heat exchanger of high performance economically with few numbers of processes by a method wherein cross sections of the structure of the wall surface of a flow channel such as the cross section of the flow channel, the cross section of fins, projections and concavities are formed beforehand on thin plates and these plates are laminated numerously in the direction of the flow channel.
CONSTITUTION: A fin piece 22 has numerous fins 20 projected vertically to the main flow channel of the fluid and rectangular hollow areas 24 provided for forming flow channels of other fluid. A spacer 23 has also a rectangular hollow area 25. When the fin piece 22 and the spacer 23 are arranged alternately and the faces thereof are joined to each other, the flow channel of the fluid and the rows of fins are formed. On the occasion that the fin piece 22 and the spacer 23 and joined in lamination, a piece 27 having a rectangular hollow area 26 for forming a front-edge flow channel, a front-edge spacer 29 having rectangular hollow areas 28a and 28b, a front-edge piece 30, a header 18, etc. are joined simultaneously.
