Abstract

PURPOSE:The titled device in which the roller gage and distribution in draft ratio are appropriately set, thus permitting high draft ratio without deterioration of qualities of spun yarns. CONSTITUTION:Slivers or rovings are drafted with the back roller, middle roller equipped with an apron and front roller to give spun yarns wherein the roller gauge L between the back roller 2 and middle roller 3 is set to a value of the maximum fiber length plus 0-10mm., further, the break draft ratio between the back roller 2 and middle roller 4 is set to 2-9, the madin draft ratio between the middle roller 4 and front roller 5 to 20-70 and these draft ratios are selected depending to the fineness of spun yarns so that the total draw ratio between the back roller 2 and front roller 5 is set to 100-400. These controls permits a high draft ratio in an air- spinning device, especially at high speed operations.
