Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled yarn at a free mixing ratio without draft unevenness at a low cost, by feeding two slivers to a drafting zone of a roving frame, partially drafting the slivers, wrapping one of the partially drafted slivers in the other sliver which is being drafted, and spinning the resultant composite roving in a fine spinning frame. CONSTITUTION:A sliver (S2) and a sliver (S1) are fed to a drafting zone of a roving frame, passed through trumpets 13 and 14 and partially drafted between back rollers 1 and 2 and the second rollers 5 and 6 to give a fleece (F) [a partially drafted sliver (S2)] and the sliver (S1) which is being drafted. The resultant fleece (F) is then passed through a fleece guide 7, and the width of the fleece (F) is reduced by a reducer 9. The fleece (F) is laid on the central part of the sliver (S1) between the third rollers 3 and 4 and the second rollers 5 and 6, passed through the second rollers 5 and 6 and a collector 12 and front rollers 10 and 11 and partially drafted. Thus, the fleece (F) [partially drafted sliver (S2)] is wrapped in the sliver (S1) which is being drafted to form a composite roving (R). The resultant composite roving (R) is then spun by a fine spinning frame to give the aimed yarn of two-layer structure.
