Abstract

PURPOSE:To turn a motor stably even in a low-speed mode by a method wherein back electromotive voltage generated during each OFF period of the motor is detected, and the detecting signals are smoothed and equalized by means of a capacitor and compared with reference signals. CONSTITUTION:When output from an AC power source 1 is rectified by means of a rectifying circuit 2 and applied to a DC motor 3 through a phase controlling switch 6, the back electromotive voltage of the DC motor 3 is detected by means of a detecting circuit 4 during an OFF period of the phase controlling switch 6, and the detecting signals are inputted to a terminal A of a speed controlling circuit 5. Input signals at the terminal A of the speed controlling circuit 5 are smoothed and uniformalized by means of a capacitor C2, inputted to a differential amplifying circuit, and compared with saw-tooth waves as reference speed signals from a capacitor C1. The results of the comparison are inputted to the phase controlling switch 6 from a terminal B, and the speed of the DC motor 3 is controlled.
