Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain constantly a constant voltage by automatically detecting the switching of an input commercial power supply by making a decision on a direct- current voltage value obtained by rectifying a commercial alternating-current power and by driving the tap change-over relay of the output transformer of a DC-AC inveter.
CONSTITUTION: A commercial alternating power voltage of 110 or 120V, applied across terminals 1 and 2, is rectified by rectifier 3 and then converted into a direct- current voltage by smoothing capacitor 4. By being applied with this direct-current voltage as a power source, DC-AC inverter 5 operates to develop a high-frequency voltage, which is applied across terminals 7 and 8 or 7 and 9 of high-frequency transformer 6. Relay driver circuit 10 is connected across capacitor 4 and the output of circuit 10 is connected to relay 11 which alternates taps 8 and 9 of transformer 6. Circuit 10, equipped with the direct-current voltage decision part, makes a decision on the input voltage of 110 or 120V to drive relay 11 with time delay and a hysteresis element. Consequently, a voltage is automatically decided at the switching time of the input power supply and an output voltage can be obtained which is stable against variation in power supply.
