Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent waste of lubricating oil, by connecting a plurality of seal air supply pipes for supplying air for sealing bearing lubricating pressurized oil to a common compressed-air pipe, and thereby distributing seal air supplied to turbine shafts at rest and in operation substantially uniformly.
CONSTITUTION: Turbine shafts 2a, 2b, 2c respectively have compressor 8 which is supported by bearings 6, 7. Pinions 3a, 3b, 3c are connected to gear 4 carried on output shaft. Compressed air extracted from compressors 8 is carried via air pipes 21 to a common compressed-air pipe 23. Backflow of the compressed air in pipe 23 to compressors 8 is prevented positively by check valves 22 provided in respective air pipes 21, and compressed air in common pipe 23 is supplied via supply pipes 24 to bearings 6, 7 as seal air for the bearing so as to prevent leakage of pressurized lubricating oil. In the above arrangement, seal air is supplied via supply pipes 24 which are inserted into casing 12. Thus, it is enabled to lower the manufacturing costs concerned.
