Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the reduction powdering rate of sintered ore to the desired value by combining feedforward control based on the chemical component values of blended starting material with feedback control based on the actually measured reduction powdering properties of product sintered ore and estimated reduction powdering properties obtd. from the actually measured permeability to enhance the accuracy of the feedforward control in the manufacture of sintered ore.
CONSTITUTION: In the manufacture of sintered ore the chemical component values of starting materials for sintering are calculated from the analyzed values and blending ratio of the materials. The estimated values or reduction powdering properties obtd. from tthe relation between the preset chemical component values and reduction powdering properties of starting materials are corrected with the actually measured reduction powdering properties of product sintered ore and the estimated values of reduction powdering properties calculated from the actually measured permeability with the interrelation between the preset permeability and reduction powdering properties of product sintered ore to estimate reduction powdering properties before sintering. The amount of carbon blended in starting materials for sintering is adjusted so as to make the estimated values equal to the desired values, and sintering is carried out.
