Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a beat phenomenon by a method wherein when the DC input voltage of the inverter drops to a given value or less, the output current of the inverter is made small. CONSTITUTION:Installation includes a pulse width modulation type inverter 4 using GTO thyristors, a motor 5 driven by this inverter 4, a voltage detector 11 to detect the DC input voltage of the inverter 4 and a current throttle circuits 14-16 which control the output current of the inverter 4 so as to be zero or less. And then, the current throttle circuit 15 is operated in a state in which the DC input voltage of the inverter is a given value or less and the circuit 15 is controlled so that the output current of the inverter 4 may be zero or less. At this time, even when pulsation is much contained in the DC input voltage of the inverter 4, the generation of a harmful torque pulsation due to a beat phenomenon can be prevented.
