Abstract
PURPOSE:To securely suppress the variation of an armature voltage due to an armature reaction and to prevent the failure of commutation and the application of overvoltage to an inverter by limiting the varying speed of the armature current of a thyristor motor to meet the varying speed of the field current. CONSTITUTION:When an armature current is increased due to the increase in the load of a synchronous motor 4 and the rise of a speed command signal, the output signal (a current command signal) of a speed deviation amplifier 9 will increase, and the AC input current of a converter 1 tends to increase, but the rate of change of the increase of the armature current is limited to a certain value by the operations of a current detector 10 and a current variation rate feedback amplifier 20. Since the field current is increased upon increase or delay of the output signal of the amplifier 9, the increase of the armature current is accelerated in the amount corresponding to the increase of the field current by the operations of the second function generator 19 and the amplifier 20.
