Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an IC for electronic watches permitting selective use of both of a silver oxide battery and a lithium battery by providing a circuit which is operated by a voltage converting circuit converting battery voltage to a different voltage, and a circuit which is operated by the battery voltage. CONSTITUTION:When a silver oxide battery 3 is connected across terminals A-B, the voltage boosted twice is obtained from a terminal C and when a lithium battery 4 is connected across the terminal A-C, the voltage divided to 1/2 is obtained from the terminal B, by the operation of a voltage transforming and converting circuit 2. The watch circuits in an IC1 are operated by the voltages of the respective terminals B, C. The signal of a switch 10 performing time correction, made change-over, etc. is leveled up at 11 and is applied to a control circuit 9 in the case of the silver oxide battery and is applied to the control circuit 9 via an OR circuit 12 in the case of the lithium battery. This changing-over is accomplished by the selective change-over means 15 on a circuit substrate.
