Abstract
PURPOSE:To secure the steady oscillation in an extremely wide range of temperature, by switching the effective electrode area of a piezoelectric oscillator with the pulse having the desired duty. CONSTITUTION:The desired level is set by the digital switch DS and then written into the memory circuit M. On the other hand, the pulse supplied from the terminal d1 of the dividing circuit D is differentiated by the differentiating circuit H, and this differential pulse presets the contents of the circuit M to the down-counter CT. With this presetting, the terminal (e) becomes 1 with opening of the gate circuit G to supply the pulse from the terminal d2 to the counter CT. Then the terminal (e) is inverted into O when the counter CT counts the set value. Then the contents of the circuit M are preset again to the counter CT when the pulse is produced from the terminal d1, thus repeating said actions. In such way, the pulse having the duty corresponding to the value set through the switch DS is produced to open/close the switching circuit S. Thus the connection between the electrodes E2 and E3 of the quartz oscillator A is turned on and off to give a switching to the electrode area of the oscillator A.
