Abstract

PURPOSE: To protect a nozzle balde of a steam turbine against erosion, by coating the trailing edge portion of the nozzle blade with a particular flame spraying material having a high erosion resistance.
CONSTITUTION: A unit nozzle blade consists of a nozzle blade 3 and a pair of nozzle side plates 5a, 5b having nozzle side walls 4. A particular region of the nozzle blade 3 located on the lower side 3a at is trailing edge portion in the steam passage is coated with a flame spraying material. This flame spraying material is composed of 75wt% of chrome-carbide and 25wt% of nickel-chrome.
