Abstract
PURPOSE: To intend to increase a heat transfer rate by mounting slit shape erected pieces 5W7 at the surface and the back of fin alternately in an air inflow side and its outflow side of a louver shape erected pieces on fin in a heat exchanger having a low velocity of air flow.
CONSTITUTION: Louver shape erected pieces 5W7 are mounted to form openings 8W11 through the surface of the back of a fin 1. At a gap partion 4 of an adjacent heat transfer pipe in different row, a louver shape erected pieces 5'W7' are also mounted to form openings 8'W11' through the surface and the back of the fin 1 in a counter direction. At the air inlet side and outlet side of the louver shape erected pieces, the slit shape erected pieces 12, 13, 12', and 13' are provided. When the air flows in accordance with the white arrow mark, the fluid which flows between fins flows in the direction shown with the black arrow. In this case, the openings 8, 11, 8' and 11' widen in area respectively with the aide of the slit shape erected pieces 13, 12' and 13', and the air flow into the opening 11, 8, and 11' become smooth depending upon the relation l1>12, wherein l1 is a height of the slit shape erected pieces and l2 is a height of the louver shape erected pieces. Accordingly, the louver shape erected pieces 5W7, and 5'W7' perform the mixing of the flow unuselessly in all. Thus, the heat transfer rate of the heat transfer surface in air side can be increased.
