Abstract
PURPOSE:To shorten the raise and fall times of a pulse output by using npn transistors for a couple of pulse driving transistors constituting a current switch and by leading outputs from their collectors for control over the amount of electric current. CONSTITUTION:Current switch CSW is composed of driving npn transistors TR11 and TR12, the voltage source for CSW and the constant current source consist of Darlington-connected TRs 14 and 15, and TR13 respectively, and the feedback loop is formed from the connection point of the electric power source and resistance 16 to the current source. A feedback output is inputted to operational amplifier 9 and the base voltage of TR13 is controlled in the same way as amplitude reference voltage Vref. Further, the voltage at the connection point of CSW and the voltage source is inputted to operational amplifier 8 and the base voltage of TR14, is controlled in the same way as level reference voltage VL. Then CSW is driven by buffer gate 10 differentially and emitters of TRs 11 and 12 are driven by the collector of TR13 with constant current to obtain a pulse output with accurate amplitude and an accurate level, so that its rise and fall times will be shortened.
