Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of the cracking of a polished rice during the adjustment of its quality and to provide it with water uniformly, by bringing a water-containing gas at a temperature 2W3°C lower than that of the polished rice into contact with the polished rice, followed by lowering the temperature of the polished rice to atmospheric temperature.
CONSTITUTION: A polished rice at 40°C fed from the feed opening 13 to the temperature and humidity conditioner 9 for rice grain is humidified and cooled by warm and wet air at 38°C sent from the air feeder 16. The polished rice dropped by the blade wheel 26 and discharged from the outlet 14 by the auger 27 is transported to the feed opening 13 for rice grain by the grain lifter 28, the temperature of the rice is detected by the temperature sensor 24 to send the signal to the differential circuit 25, where the signal is compared with that from the air feeding part 17 and sent to the control circuit 26.
