Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable sure discrimination of an object by a method wherein the light is applied in parallel to the direction of the grain shaped on the surface of copper leaf of the printed substrate and thereby the irregular reflection on the surface of copper leaf is reduced.
CONSTITUTION: On the printed substrate 1 is fitted copper leaf to form a surface 2 to which chip parts are to be fitted. On this surface 2 of the copper leaf are formed grains (fine stripes made by scratches) 3 in a certain direction by brushing beforehand for cleaning. When the surface 2 of the copper leaf is arranged in such a manner that the direction of the grains 3 thereof is in parallel to the light-projecting direction of a light source 4, the projection of light causes no irregular reflection on the surface 2 of the copper leaf, while the specified reflected light alone is let to enter a matrix camera 5. By this method, in the case when the chip parts are fitted in the positions of reflection on the surface 2 of the copper leaf, the light reflected by the chip parts alone is let to enter the camera 5 and thereby the presence of the chip parts, the divergence of the position thereof, etc. can be discriminated definitely.
