Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembly of coils preventing disorder in the layout of a spacer otherwise caused by electromagnetic force by means of a spacer mounting device provided on the inner and outer surface inside a coil housing countainer to handle the mounting of a spacer and the support of diametrical force of the coil. CONSTITUTION:A concave-shaped spacer mounting device 6 is mounted at an inner/outer diameter fixing section of an insulating spacer 3 in a refrigerant passage formed on the inner and outer surfaces between a helium container 1 and a coil 2. Therefore, the spacer is made longer than the width of the coil enough to be fitted into the concave section of a spacer fixture 6. On the other hand, a superconductive coil 2 is inserted into the device 6 in the radial direction and the clearance between the coil 2 and the device 6 is fixed with an adjustment employing an insulating liner or the like. This can prevent clogging of the refrigerant passage and increase in stress and the like due to shedding thereof thereby facilitating the assembly of the superconductive coil.
