Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a stepped shaft in a short time by providing a groove on the shaft main body and fitting a pipe to the periphery of the shaft body so that a part of it opposes to the groove, and fastening the opposing part.
CONSTITUTION: A groove 2c is formed on the periphery of a round shaft main body 2. A round pipe 3 of specified thickness the inner diameter of which is equal to or somewhat greater than the outer diameter of the round shaft body 2 and the axial dimension is longer than that of the groove 2c is fitted to the periphery of the round shaft body 2 so that its one end face 3a coincides with one end face of the groove 2c. This is inserted into a coil 5 so that the groove 2c is positioned inside of the coil 5. A large current is made flow in the coil 5, and one end 3c of the round pipe 3 is fastened to the groove 2c of the round shaft body 2 by magnetic repulsion force.
