Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify manufacture of a subject shaft, for use with a change lever of an automoble and to shorten a manufacturing time, by a method wherein a spherical shell, into which a tube material is formed on an outer circumference of a base shaft, is pressed for securing through an elastic material.
CONSTITUTION: A base shaft 2 is located at a cylindrical guide 5 in a manner that a part, where a spherical part 1a of a base shaft 2 is formed, is located in a position of a retaining means 6. A tube material 7 is inserted through the base shaft 2, and a cylindrical elastic material 4 is inserted through a space between the tube material and the base shaft 2 to hold the outer circumference of the tube material 7 by means of a retaining means 6. After a pair of press molds 8, 8 hold the tube material 7 once in a manner to slide in an axial direction and move in the proximity of each other, the retaining means 6 is moved aside, and the press molds 8 are moved again further in the proximity of each other to form the tube material 7 into the spherical part. The opening of the material 7 is throttled, and is pressed secured on the outer periphery of the shaft 2 through the elastic material 4 expanding from a concave part 8d of a cavity 8a. This facilitate manufacturing of a device and enables shortening of a manufacturing time.
