Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of a cyclone for collecting soot and effectively clean the exhaust, by injection supplying oil to an accumulating chamber of the cyclone interposed between exhaust passages of an engine, removing the oil collected in the accumulating chamber and mixing it into fuel.
CONSTITUTION: Oil periodically removed from an engine 1 is injected by an oil hydraulic pump 6 from an injection valve 31c to an accumulating chamber 31a. Soot in the exhaust separated by a cyclone 31 drops down toward the accumulating chamber 31a and is collected in the accumulating chamber 31a with the above described oil. While the injected oil is partially intruded from the accumulating chamber 31a into the main body of the cyclone and allowed to adhere to its inner wall, and the rest of the oil is brought out to an outlet part 31e with the exhaust and collected by a filter 33. In this way, the soot centrifugally separated by the cyclone 31 adheres to the inner wall part of the main body, and the soot toward the outlet part 31e with the exhaust adheres to the oil immersed filter 33 and is collected.
