Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain to miniaturize the wet dust collecting apparatus and to enhance dust collecting efficiency by a method wherein a gas to be dust collected is reversed in a shake-down chamber and dust collection is carried out a dust collecting chamber positioned at the outer periphery of an introducing cylinder as well as a precipitation tank is formed to the lower bottom of an apparatus main body.

CONSTITUTION: A gas to be dust collected is introduced from the introducing port 3 of an introuding cylinder and dust is primarily removed by a shower 4 and said gas is impinged to a conical lower bottom wall 7 to carry out secondary dust removal. To the lower end thereof connected to a shake down chamber 5, a packing material 9 is packed to make contact with the injected liquid from a shower 10 good. By a demister covering a discharge port 29, the injected liquid is prevented from being scattered to the outside of the apparatus 2 and a dust transfer pipe 32 transfers dust to a collector 34 through a communication port 33 provided to the lower bottom of the shake-down chamber 5. A water guide body 50 guides a dust collecting liquid 35 to a precipitation tank 52 from an overflow part 51. A ring like flow passage 55 is provided to the inner side of a cylinder 54 and the dust collecting liquid is overflowed from the upper end total periphery of an inner peripheral wall 57 to suppress the flow of the dust collecting liquid 35 in the outside of the cylinder 54.
