CONSTITUTION:A unidirectional electromagnetic steel plate with improved iron loss in the right- angled direction to rolling is obtained by introducing a linear small strain in almost parallel with the direction of rolling on the surface of a unidirectional electromagnetic steel plate already subjected to a finish annealing treatment for secondary crystallization by a method of lessening surface defects without using blade tip, etc., in which a line drawing is made by turning an approx. 1mm.-diameter spherical rotator, for example, in contact with the surface of a steel plate while applying a load on it.
