Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily obtain a drag of predetermined density by charging molding sand into a lower molding flask fitted at its lower opening with a freely elevatable squeeze plate provided with compressed air injecting means then registering a pattern plate having exhaust holes and injecting compressed air as specified. CONSTITUTION:Molding sand A is charged into the filling flask 1 and lower molding flask 17 fitted at the lower opening a freely elevatable squeeze plate 5 provided with means of injecting compressed air upward (air supply hole 8, fine exhaust holes 7, etc.), after which a pattern plate 18 provided with exhaust holes 22 is registered thereto. Thence, compressed air is injected from said compressed air injecting means to fluidize the molding sand A. Thence, air volume and pressure are increased to move the molding sand A upward. Further, the air volume and pressure are increased to increase the density of the molding sand A near the pattern plate 18; at the same time, the squeeze plate 5 is moved upward to squeeze the entire part of the molding sand A, whereby the drag having predetermined density and hardness and having no damages is easily and surely obtained.
