Abstract
PURPOSE:To present a scale formation preventing agent at the heating of steel material which is obtained by kneading Fe2O3 powder or the one mixed with carbon powder with water or the like. CONSTITUTION:For the purpose of hot rolling, a steel material is heated to a rolling temperature in a heating furnace. At this time, the anti-oxidizing agent prepared by adding water or liquid glue at a rate of 30-50% to the powder of Fe2O3 recovered in the factory or the Fe2O3 powder further mixed with 10-50% carbon powder is coated on the surface of the steel material to 100-500mu thicknesses. The coating of this anti-oxidizing agent prevents the steel material from oxidizing and becoming scale in the heating furnace, thus the decrease in the yield of the steel material is prevented.
