Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid generation of exhaust gas of a high temperature in an incinerator wherein matter disposed such as city trash is transported through drying range, burning range and after- burning range in this order for burning purpose by increasing the amount of gas to be fed into the after-burning range which contains oxygen for combustion when the temperature of exhaust gas is higher than a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:In an incinerator for burning city trash and so on, the trash is fed through feeding port 8 onto a fire grate 9 and burned while it is transported through the drying range A, burning range B and after-burning range C in this order. In this while, the respective ranges A, B and C are supplied with gas which contains oxygen for combustion by blower 18, through main flow passage 26, heat exchangeable preheater 21 and the respective gas feeding passages a, ...
