FLUE GAS TEMPERATURE AT OUTLET (6) OF A REFUSE INCINERATOR (1) IS DETERMINED BY A THERMOMETER (12) LOCATED AT OUTLET (6) THEREOF, AND NOx CONCENTRATION, CO CONCENTRATION, AND O₂ CONCENTRATION IN FLUE GAS ARE DETERMINED BY FLUE GAS ANALYZERS (14, 15, AND 16), LOCATED IN A FLUE GAS DUCT. EACH OF THE OBSERVED VALUES OF FLUE GAS TEMPERATURE AND NOx CONCENTRATION IS COMPARED WITH EACH CORRESPONDING REFERENCE VALUE. BASED ON THE RESULTS OF THE COMPARISON, A RATE OF WATER SPARY INJECTED AGAINST REFUSE BURNING ON GRATES IS ADJUSTED. ALSO, EACH OF THE OBSERVED VALUES OF FLUE GAS TEMPERATURE, NOx CONCENTRATION, CO CONCENTRATION, AND O₂ CONCENTRATION IS COMPARED WITH EACH CORRESPONDING REFERENCE VALUE. BASED ON THE RESULTS OF THE COMPARISON, A RATE OF SECONDARY COMBUSTION AIR SUPPLY INJECTED TO A COMBUSTION CHAMBER (1A) IS ADJUSTED.(FIG. 1)
