Abstract
PURPOSE: To recover the fermentation heat from waste treatment, by fermenting waste in a fermentation tank, withdrawing steam-containing air heated by the fermentation heat from a high temperature part of the fermentation tank, and pressurizing the steam-containing air to be delivered to heat exchange means.
CONSTITUTION: The waste is loaded from an intake opening 4, and the waste that has been fermented is removed through a lower takeout opening 5. Rotary dampers 6 with blades on respective shafts support the waste to be treated and also serve to scrape down the fermented product toward the takeout opening 5. Air supplied through the takeout opening 5 that also acts as an air supply opening is delivered into the fermentation tank through space between the rotary dampers 6. The heated steam is drawn through a drawing pipe 7 having a plurality of fine drawing holes 8, dust is removed in a strainer tank 9, then the steam is passed through a pressurizing tank 11 to a heat exchanger 13 where its heat is recovered, and then it is discharged through a discharge pipe 16 with part of it returned into the fermentation tank through a circuit pipe 15b.
