Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to search the trouble of the relay transmission system, by transmitting the two-bit code, which is constituted with the first bit equal to each bit of the first code and the second bit opposite to the just preceding bit, to the relay transmission line. CONSTITUTION:Outputs of code generator 65, which generates a code having the mark rate other than 1/2, and designated frequency generator 75 are input to exclusive OR circuit 6, and a signal which changes the mark rate at the period of the designated frequency is obtained from output terminal 50. This signal is caused to pass through code converter 3 and code differentiating circuit 4 to obtain a code string, which satisfies the differential mark inversion code rule, at terminal 40. The output of trouble searching code generator 7 obtained in this manner is transmitted to transmission line. Next, the output of flip flop 5 of reproducing relay circuit 61 is caused to pass through low-pass filter 53 to obtain the designated frequency from the code string; and if an error occurs in the transmission line, the phase of output 90 is changed for every error or designated frequency components are reduced, so that the trouble of the relay transmission system can be searched.
