Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the fluidity of molten metal and enable the plate of high quality to be obtained integrally by incorporating the grid set formed on a bottom plate in a mold, forming flow passages in the grid set and pouring molten metal.
CONSTITUTION: The grid set 4 formed by intersection of horizontal rails 2 and vertical rails 3 is disposed in the casting cavity formed by the combination of a bottom plate 4 and a mold 6 and is secured to a bottom plate 1. Thence, when molten metal is flowed, the molten metal flows in the flow passages provided in the grid set 4, for example, in the spacings between the respective horizontal rails 2 and further overflows the notched parts of the respective vertical rails 3 and flows evenly in the respective grid set 4, whereby it is flowed therein. Thereby, the tinkering may be performed with good melt sticking and productivity.
