Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance of Co-Ni alloy magnetic thin film by a method wherein the alloy thin film is formed on a macromolecular film by the slant evaporation method and is heat treated. CONSTITUTION:A Co-Ni alloy magnetic thin film consisting of Co containing Ni as the main alloy element is formed on the macromolecular film 3 by the slant evaporation method (0<=theta<90 deg.). At this case, introducing oxygen gas the thin film can be produced consecutively as a lengthy film by the slant evaporation method in oxygen gas atmosphere. The Co-Ni alloy magnetic thin film being formed on the macromolecular film is heat treated, for example, at more than 90 deg.C to improve the corrosion resistance. The heat treatment can be performed, for example, by making the thin film to come in contact with a hot roller at 120 deg.C. By this way, the corrosion resistance of the alloy can be improved.
