Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an attenuator control circuit which has a simple constitution and can increase the S/N, by securing the working of the control circuit to make the attenuator effective when the attenuator input is higher than the fixed level and then to make the attenuator ineffective with turn-off of the power supply respectively. CONSTITUTION:The transistor Q3 is off during the make of the power supply since the capacitor C7 is in the discharge state, and thus the transistor Q2 is turned on to flow no current to the diodes D2 and D1. And the resistance R1 functioning as the attenuator is eliminated virtually. Accordingly, the receiver operates in the curve A. The output of the high-frequency amplifying transistor Q1 is high when the input level is high, and also the wave detection output emerging as the voltage of the C7 is high. As a result, the Q3 and Q2 are turned on and off with the D1 and D2 turned on and off with the D1. and D2 turned on Accordingly, the resistance R1 is inserted, and thus the characteristics of the receiver is switched to the curve B. The FF consisting of the Q2 and Q3 is held under these conditions, and no return is given to the curve A although the input level may drop. However, if the power source +B is turned off, the charge of the C7 is discharged. And the Q3 and Q2 are turned off and on when the power source +B is supplied again, and thus the resistance R1 is eliminated to turn the characteristics of the receiver into the curve A.
