Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a braze alloy for silver-oxide dispersion type alloy brazing which comprises the specific component composition such as silver, copper, phosphorus and zinc and which exhibits brazing strength and brazing condition equal to those of conventional silver layer clad materials.
CONSTITUTION: This is a braze alloy for silver-base oxide dispersion type alloy brazing comprising component composition of 40W70% silver, 20W60% copper, 0.5W3% phosphorus and 0.5W30% zinc in weight ratio. This braze alloy is sufficient in brazing strength; at the same time, it has the characteristics that the braze material does not go to the contact surface.
