Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a solid food as a health food having both drug actions of a flesh extract from an ume and a yam without requiring permeation of the flesh extract of an ume from the surface, by kneading the flesh extract from an ume with the yam both in specific amounts.
CONSTITUTION: A flesh extract from an ume is incorporated into a mixture of 30W 60wt% the total flesh extract from the ume and freeze-dried flour of the flesh extract from the ume and 70W40wt% a dried yam flour to make the total amount of water 5W15wt%. Alternatively, 5W15wt%, based on a mixed flour of 30W60wt% the freeze-dried flour of the flesh extract from the ume and 70W40wt% the dried yam flour, water is added to the mixed flour. The mixture thus obtained is kneaded and granulated by a spherizer, and dried at 100°C or below. After drying, the resultant pill may be polished with an alcohol.
