Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the titled preparation for oral administration, capable of keeping the effective concentration in blood for a long period, with simple and rapid production means, by dispersing the cytochrome C molecules in dried solid dextran.
CONSTITUTION: Stable cytochrome solid can be prepared by (1) adding 20W40% aqeuous solution of high polymer dextran to 10W30% aqueous solution of cytochrome C, (2) adding a small amount of a water-kneadable disintegrating agent to improve the disintegrability of the preparation, and (3) freeze-drying the mixture. As an alternative method, the solid can be prepared by (1) mixing 5W20% aqueous solution of cytochrome C with 5W20% aqueous solution of dextran, (2) spraying the mixture keeping the nozzle-side hot stream temperature at ≤100°C, and (3) drying the mixture. The solid cytochrome C can be tableted or granulated by conventional method.
